The Regulas class merchant is essentially an enlarged Atlantis class free trader. Like the Atlantis class the jump range generally restricts the vessels deployment to star clusters or chains of systems within a parsec of each other. To overcome this somewhat, dismountable fuel tanks to allow a second jump can be carried at the loss of some cargo capacity.
